The idea for my project was to tell a story about my identity and how much of who I am is tied to what I own and what I do. I am more of a person working on a drawing rather than standing at the corner of the road. My overall plan is to heavily Photoshop my images to show how the objects I own give me life. I don't want to reveal just a small portion of the story so I will show a few pictures before the Photoshop process to give the basic idea of the image composition. The project will displayed and matted on the wall in varying sizes and show a linear progression from one side to the other to display a passage of time.
Your project sounds fascinating! I also like the three images you have shown. Drawing tools, drawing paper and computer describe you quite well! At least that's what I see after taking multiple classes with you.

ReplyDeleteThis sounds interesting and I cannot wait to see how it turns out. I know the images as they are do not reflect exactly what the finished product will be, but I am interested in them regardless. Even though you are absent in the first and third images, they serve to describe you through the tools that you use and the marks that you make/leave behind. In fact, I think I learn more about you when you are removed from the image…Within the third image, I start to pay attention to objects that I overlooked or ignored in the 2nd image because I was distracted by your presence within the frame. I also enjoy the notion that you are more "you" when drawing or than when you are standing on a street corner. I am excited to see how this will be address in the finished piece.
