Fingerprints

        My hands are everything to me. Being an artist requires me to rely on my hands to create so I found it a fitting to frame. Each object is represented in importance depending on the location and size it is displayed. Some objects are references to other ideas while some are special monuments to my background and social being. I also chose to keep the dust and fingerprints on the top layer to represent that I also leave my mark on the outside world as small obscure marks.
        The working process was simply putting together a collage and using an image mask to make the frame of my hand. There are little details everywhere. Some objects are cropped and distorted while others are simply small elements taken from large photographs to represent the abstract idea of the entire piece. I wanted to do more than just show a collection of images so I was forced to manipulate them in a way that they seemed alien enough to warrant investigation.
